Pets spend most thier time on floors, grass, and concrete grounds where toxic food and chemicals present themselves to your curious pooch. According to the Animal Poison control, here are some toxins that should be avoided at all costs. Antifreeze, antifreeze may be inticing to animals due to the smell and sweet taste however antifreeze is lethal. Ethylene Glycol is the ingredient that attacts and poisons the dog. One teaspoon of antifreeze can kill your dog within 30 minutes to 12 hours of ingestation. Onions,garlic, yeast dough, chocolate, sugarless candy, salt , and raw salmon also have high levels of toxins which may be harmful to your dog. Also, rasins and grapes can cause gastrointestinal issues combined with vomiting and diarrhea. If you suspect your dog may have ingested any toxins,contact your vet immediately. Chances of your dog's survival will depend on quick reaction and veterenarian care. | |
