One of the most common questions I receive from friends and members is "What can I do about my dog's gas?" It's a sincere question especially when you have to live with it. While gas in your bulldog may be annoying, it is very common with this breed. Unfortunately, there is no way to completely eliminate your dog's flatulence however, there are a few things you can do to decrease the frequency. No table food- Despite the temptation to share your meal with your dog, giving him table scraps, and changing his food will give him gas. Also, monitor the amount of doggy treats given, this will also stir up gas in your bulldog. Delete all soy products- Especially soy beans. Soy beans are hard to digest due to the large amount of protiens it has, which will produce a lot of gas in the digestive track. Excersice-While it is important to monitor your bulldogs activity level due to rapid overheating, it is just as important to make sure that your dog gets some exercise. Light outdoor exercise will help to move the gas outside the home. Also excercise will prevent your furry friend from becoming overweight.

Thanks for the information! I've been telling my wife about the table scraps for years, but she can't seem to resist feeding our Bully pieces of steak or chicken from the table.
After being Bulldog owners for more than 10 years, we've become accustomed to stinky bulldog gas, but don't frequently feed them table scraps. (It is hard to resist those faces though.)
